We wanted our magazine's name to be something vague that leaves it up to your interpretation. We wanted a word that had a good meaning but that would allow for experimentation and for your mind to wonder.
We made a google docs and brainstormed some words that popped into our head, that had a good sound and flow to them. And highlighted the ones that popped and we liked most.
In this way we came up with the magazine name 'FLAIR' which means stylishness and originality, which we thought was a good representation of what we want our magazine to look like.
Next, we began thinking of the logo and sketched some ideas, getting us to these final sketches:
Which we then took into Adobe Illustrator and experimented and practiced using Illustrator.
